Joseph C. “Cam” Potts spent much of his career soaring around the globe. And now he’s dedicated to giving his clients the opportunity to soar into a brighter future with the safety, predictability, and tax advantages of Indexed Universal Life.

With a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from Texas A&M University, Cam flew for over 38 years as an airline pilot — 30 years as a heavy jet Captain and 24 years in international operations, which included over 1,100 oceanic crossings.

Becoming a pilot was the fulfillment of a childhood dream — one that at first seemed out of reach due to poor eyesight. He held to his mother’s advice: “Never give up. When there is something in your heart that you can’t see living without, follow your heart.” He took her advice, pursued his goals, and when aviation regulations changed, he was able to go to work in the cockpit.

As a Certified IUL Professional, Cam applies that same heartfelt sense of purpose to his work with clients today. Some of his favorite moments have come in helping clients thoroughly understand IUL strategies, as well as how to use IUL to build long-term legacies for their families.

Cam and his wife, Nan, have been married for nearly 50 years, with two children and six grandchildren. Cam enjoys reading, writing, walking, spending time with Bigby (their golden retriever/Great Pyrenees mix), and singing in the MatSu Community Chorus with Nan.
